Barley John’s Brew Pub was founded by John Moore and his wife, Laura Subak in 2000.
In addition to the brewpub, there is an on-site vegetable garden providing seasonal produce and hops for use in their cooking and brewing. Previously, John was a brewer for James Page Brewing Co.

“Part of it was the suggestion again from the distributors looking at the marketing budget we had. That the best way to get the customer to buy the brand and to experience the story and to become a repeat purchaser is to be in the store and tell the story and have them taste the product and then to encourage obviously at that point in time to buy it and take it home. That this was the best way to get the people excited about the brand.”
